This paper contains the conclusions of the key lectures, which were presented during the 9th European Symposium of Porcine Health Management in Prague(Czech Republic) on 3–5 May 2017. The meeting have attended about 1500 participants, among them about 70 veterinarians, specialists of swine diseases, from Poland. We have enclosed here the leading topics that were indicating current major health problems in swine. The key lecture, presented by D. Mervius from Netherlands has focused on antimicrobial resistance from a global and One Health perspective. The next key lecture, by B. Gonzales-Zorn from Madrid, Spain, was entitled: “One Health and antimicrobial resistance at the herd level”. From the research field on new viruses – new diseases, the lecture entitled “It’s raining viruses – what does it mean”, was presented by J. Segales from Barcelona, Spain. Concerning gastrointestinal disorders, W. Schafzahl from Austria presented the lecture entitled: “What can I do in case of gastro-intestinal disorders?” The next key lecture presented by J. Zentek from Berlin, Germany, was entitled: “Microbiota and diseases”. T. Stadejek, from Warsaw, Poland, depicted “Approaches for new viruses discovery: solving or creating”. P. Martelli form Parma, Italy, put forth the key lecture on “Measuring and interpreting the immune response”. The key lecture, entitled: The immune system in newborn piglets and passive immunity”, was presented by M. Faldyna from Brno, Czech Republic. These titles show clearly the range of problems discussed during Prague Symposium.
